The challenge
A youth football club (Grupo Recreativo Desportivo Os Fixes, Queluz de Baixo) coordinated trainings, games and logistics over scattered chats. Parents and coaches needed one simple place, on their phones.
Approach
We designed a mobile-first PWA with clear roles — guardian, coach and head coach — each action gated by granular permissions.
The solution
- Events — trainings, games and tournaments, with parent attendance RSVPs.
- Call-ups and squad management, with season rollover.
- School pickup — a transport/logistics flow with absence windows.
- Real-time push notifications; player profiles and stats.
- Link-based invites (guardian ↔ player, and coach onboarding); pt-PT default + EN.
Stack: React 19 + TypeScript + Vite, Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions), Tailwind + Radix, React Query. PWA with a Workbox service worker and Web Push.
